For the past three years, we have made it a tradition to have paperwhites
on Christmas. There's something about growing them that gives me the holiday spirit.
And this year, we got AJ involved helping us set them up. Now is the time to start
since they take a good six to eight weeks to look like above. A fun and simple activity
since they take a good six to eight weeks to look like above. A fun and simple activity
perfect for a rainy day. It's a holiday tradition I hope to pass on to my kids.
After all, holidays are all about family traditions.
Are you starting any new holiday traditions?

Oh, nothing is prettier at Christmastime than some blooming paperwhites...except maybe an amaryllis (my tradition). In fact, I just bought my amaryllis bulbs yesterday!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! No real Christmas traditions yet. Of course, I have my families traditions from when I was younger. But, this is going to be our first married Christmas- so we'll have to start making some new traditions :)

That is such a great idea to just grow your own! They are gorgeous and nothing is better than beautiful flowers around for the holidays! My little ones are big enough now that they would love to do this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! Love it :)
